Artists throughout history have drawn inspiration from birds. Back to the prehistoric days of part-human,  part-bird, we have had a fascination with the beauty of birds in art. As a part of nature and the soul, as messengers, so many artists view the bird as a subject of beauty and intrigue. As a staple of our CSM collection, we carry a wide range of bird bookplates, paintings and photographs.

We are also now representing a NJ artist, Claire Rosen. Her fine art photographs (below) have been such a wonderful addition to the gallery. This collection called “Birds of a Feather”, a portrait series, can stand alone or in a collection. Rosen is drawn to both darkness and beauty and is inspired by both fairy tales and fables. These photographs were actually done as a complete photo shoot with birds both common and exotic staged with complimentary vintage wallpapers. The result is visually stunning.
