In today’s sunday paper, we remember Bulgarian artist Christo, who passed away at his home last week. The 84-year-old luminary was celebrated for the large-scale, outdoor art installations he created with his wife and artistic partner Jeanne-Claude.
Below, the couple’s famous marigold Floating Piers on Italy’s Lake Iseo showed us it’s possible to walk on water. Though his works were temporary, Christo’s vision of a more colorful planet indelibly changed the way we see the world.
